About Ravenburst

Ravenburst is built by one person, for writers who take their craft seriously.

I got frustrated. Every writing app wanted a monthly subscription. Every “professional” tool was designed for people who wanted features, not for people who wanted to write. And too many of them wanted my work living on their servers instead of my own computer.

So I built the tool I wanted: one that gets out of the way while you’re writing, keeps the whole book — characters, places, research and all — in a single file you own, and turns it into a properly formatted manuscript, paperback, script or e-book when you’re done.

You buy it once. It works offline. Your words stay on your computer, backed up where you choose. That’s the whole deal.

The name is a nod to Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven, and to the burst of creativity when a story finally breaks through. Ravenburst is meant to be where that happens.
